Every adventure needs fuel! EVERY ATTENDEE MUST BRING A PACKED LUNCH with their name on it, and that they will need to carry with them individually. (having each child carry a backpack is a good idea.) There will be NO on-site food options available for Tween attendees. 

What is the Tween experience like?

Supervised, Dedicated Space

Tween Programming takes place in a secluded area separate from the main StoryCon conference. Once checked in, tweens will remain in this designated space until pick-up. Chaperones will be present throughout the day.

Complimentary Book 
Every Tween attendee receives ONE complimentary book, which may be signed by an author. Be sure to stop by the bookstore adjacent to the Tween Main Stage to select your book. Tweens that arrive early will have a chance to select books before programming begins, and will have a wider selection of options..

Parents, Guardians, and Siblings

Parents or Guardians are welcome to enjoy the Exhibit Hall during programming, and may enjoy bringing younger siblings to StoryLand for Little Readers, where we have free author StoryTimes with signed books, games, crafts, and other activities to inspire the joy of reading. pre -register for an author StoryTime today, or drop in for the ongoing free programming.

Pick-up

The Tween program concludes by 2:30 pm. All teens must be checked out by a parent or designated guardian in person by 2:45 PM.

Final Reminders

  • The Salt Palace is a large venue—allow extra time for arrival and check-in.
     

  • Once dropped off, tweens will remain with the Tween Programming group for the full duration of the event.
     

  • If you have questions day of, event staff and Tween Committee members will be available to assist.
