2026 TWEEN SCHOOL GROUP ATTENDEE GUIDE
As our journey unfolds, details may change. Check back often for the most up-to-date information.

CHECK-IN
All Tween school groups must be checked in by their teacher. Adventurers who arrive early can enjoy provided games and group activities. Since official programming begins at 9:30 AM, check-in will close at 9:15 AM.

PARKING

On-site at the Salt Palace ($25/day)
Nearby lots at Radisson ($27/day), City Creek Mall ($24/day)
Surface parking lots nearby

FOOD

Every adventure needs fuel! EVERY ATTENDEE MUST BRING A PACKED LUNCH with their name on it, and that they will need to carry with them individually. (having each child carry a backpack is a good idea.) There will be NO on-site food options available for Tween attendees. There will be no group lunch storage space.
What is the Tween experience like?
Supervised, Dedicated Space
Tween Programming takes place in a secluded area separate from the main StoryCon conference. Once checked in, tweens will remain in this designated space until pick-up. Chaperones will be present throughout the day.
Complimentary Book
Every Tween attendee receives ONE complimentary book, which may be signed by an author. Be sure to stop by the bookstore adjacent to the Tween Main Stage to select your book. Tweens that arrive early will have a chance to select books before programming begins, and will have a wider selection of options..
Teacher Experience Options
During Programming, teachers are welcome to stay with their students, or they may use their StoryCon Educator pass to attend classes or enjoy the Exhibit Hall. Teachers may also register to attend the Educator Book Banquet, with hot, plated lunch, author "speed-networking" and 11 signed books from middle grade authors. Educators are encouraged to return on Saturday to enjoy the programming and can even earn SUU Graduate credit both days for their participation.
Pick-up
All tweens must be checked out and accounted for by their teacher by 2:45 PM. No children will be allowed to exit the Tween area without their teacher.
