2026 TEEN SCHOOL GROUP ATTENDEE GUIDE
As our journey unfolds, details may change. Check back often for the most up-to-date information.

CHECK-IN
*Additional details for school groups check-in found in School group success packets
-
NEW in 2026! Early check-in available Thursday 3:00-6:00 PM for those who want to avoid lines! Individuals can check in and Educators can come check in for their entire school group so students can have badges and swag bags on the bus and avoid day of check-in!
-
Only educators will go through the check-in line. If possible, have that educator leave the bus first, and go to check in at the school group area. Have the name and email address of the educator who registered the school group, and have your order number and confirmation email handy to avoid confusion. Additional chaperones and student groups should gather near check-in, while the designated educator checks in, and returns to the group with check-in materials (badges, lanyards, programs, pins, and bags).
-
Check-in Opens: 7:30 AM on Friday and 8:00 AM on Saturday — arrive early for the fun!
-
IMPORTANT: Check-in for TEENS, ADULTS, and EDUCATORS will be located at the farthest west entrance to the Salt Palace, across the street from the Delta Center. We recommend entering the doors on 300 W between S. Temple and 100 South.
Adventurers who arrive early can enjoy exclusive discounts and perks in the Exhibit Hall which opens at 8:00 AM. Stay posted for more details!
The Salt Palace is a large venue—allow extra time for arrival and check-in.

TEEN Bus Student Dropoff
-
The Teen bus dropoff will be on 300 West between 100 South and South Temple.
-
The bus should pull up in the right lane and drop students off. Please be ready to exit the bus quickly and take the things that you and the students will need.
-
Approximately 100 buses will be dropping off, so we need students and educators to exit the buses efficiently.
-
If there are multiple teachers on the bus, one teacher should get off first and go directly to check in as quickly as possible to begin getting badges and swag bags so they are ready once the students unload and get inside.
-
StoryCon volunteers and signage will direct you to check in. Check in is less than 100 yards from the bus drop off.

PARKING

Options if you are parking, instead of bringing a school bus. On-site at the Salt Palace ($25/day)

PLAN YOUR SCHEDULE
Programming runs Friday, Feb 27 9am - 5pm & Saturday, Feb 28 9am - 6pm
Exhibit Hall: 9am - 7pm
-
You’ll find printed programs in the backpacks received at check-in, outlining room numbers and scheduling for StoryCon. Last minute changes and updates can be found on the online schedule.

FOOD

-
Food vendors and concessions will be available for lunch. Free lunch will not be provided.
-
If you have a cooler for student lunches, you are welcome to store those lunches near the Educator Lounge, located very near the keynote entrance area. Please ask a StoryCon volunteer for directions if needed at time of check-in. As space is limited, we can only store lunch supplies at this location. Leaving anything unattended at StoryCon is at your own risk.
-
There will be one concession line that will take cash. All others will take a card or tap to pay with Apple and Google Wallet.
-
List of food vendors coming soon!
-
On Saturday evening the concessions stand will stay open until 7:00 for those staying for final book signing. There are many restaurants within walking distance from the Salt Palace as well.
-
NOTE: Adults/Educators and teens have different times scheduled for lunch. Be sure to communicate with your teens about when and where to meet to get lunches (if brought from home/school)
