Creative Writing Workshop Retreat in France
Whether you are a professional or novice screenwriter or novelist, this intensive state-of-the-art story workshop/retreat with the author of "Stealing Fire from the Gods" will take you beyond Classical Story Structure and The Hero's Journey to a more complete understanding of the fundamentals you need to create your own significant and successful stories and story films.
The first two days James Bonnet will teach you the fundamental principles that drive all great stories and films and how to apply them to your project. You will spend the next five days developing your own story in an idyllic setting and each day work one-on-one with James. In the process he will introduce you to important new revelations concerning the ultimate source of a story's unity, the structures of the whole story passage, the anti-hero's journey, the high concept great idea, the creative unconscious, the creative process, and the secrets of charismatic characters, plus a step-by-step journey from the fascination to the final draft, including a thorough analysis of many of today's most powerful and successful stories and films.
During lunch and dinner you will share good food, wine and conversation with James and the other participants.

Directions: Nans Sous Sainte Anne is in the Franche Comte, which is halfway down the eastern side of France, close to the Swiss border, a little to the south of Besancon. A variety of carriers service this area directly from Paris and other cities; the TGV, the high speed train, can take you close to your final destination. Nans Sous Sainte Anne is 2 1/2 hours by high speed rail from Paris. By car it is about 45 minutes from Besancon, 2 hours from Geneva, and 2 1/2 hours from Lyon.
