The Newtown Movie Connection By the way, there's a good chance you've seen Newtown. M. Night Shyamalan shot most of the film SIGNS in Bucks County, and the Pizza Shop, street and bookstore scenes in Newtown. I walked a block and a half from my office to stand 20 feet away, watching Shyamalan directing Mel Gibson. And my local used bookstore is just a block further, next to the local Starbucks. Newtown is a suburb of Philadelphia, about 15-25 minutes north of the edge of the city, about 45-50 minutes from center city. It's a quaint, old town, with many historical buildings, some well over 200 years old. Our offices (about 1800 square feet) are in a building 150 years old, which reputedly was a part of the underground railroad (slave escape trail.) |
